Vanilla Macadamia Nut Syrup:
- 16 parts sugar
- 8 parts water
- 1/2 part cold pressed macadamia nut oil (can be found at most specialty grocery stores, or amazon.com)
- 1 vanilla bean
Add water to a small sauce pan, split vanilla bean and scrape into water. Add bean casing and macadamia nut oil to water. Heat until simmering, then add sugar. When sugar is completely dissolved, strain syrup, and cool. It’s now usable. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 month (mix through before use)
