A homage to The Windy City; where the patrons prefer their drinks boozy and stirred. This cocktail is a variation on a Manhattan, and originally showcased espresso from a local roaster (Dark Matter).

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 parts of Auchentoshan American Oak® Single Malt Scotch Whisky
  • 1/2 part Espresso infused Cynar (Grind one cup of espresso beans add to Cynar and let sit for 20 minutes. Strain espresso out of Cynar using coffee filter or cheese cloth.)
  • 1/4 part Px Sherry
  • 1 dropper of Chocolate Bitters
  • Lemon peel garnish

Add 1 1/2 parts Auchentoshan American Oak® into a mixing glass

Add 1/2 part Espresso infused Cynar (Grind one cup of espresso beans add to Cynar and let sit for 20 minutes. Strain espresso out of Cynar using coffee filter or cheese cloth.)

Add 1/4 part Px Sherry

Add 1 dropper of Chocolate Bitters

Add ice to mixing glass

Stir

Strain into rocks glass on top of block ice cube

Garnish with lemon twist
